Dogs under 50 pounds are allowed on the pontoon boat tours. The tours last about an hour and include a narration about the early settlers and Everglade animals and plants. The cost is $8.50 per person and dogs ride free.

Enjoy a 4 1/2 mile nature and wildlife scenic tour by car, as well as the other recreational activities offered here. This park is known for it’s migratory bird population. If you stop to look or take pictures, park on the right and stay on the pavement. The refuge is closed Friday, and open Saturday through Thursday from 7:30 am to sunset. Dogs are allowed at no additional fee, and they must be leashed and cleaned up after.

This beach is located on the west side of the island, near Captiva. From the Sanibel causeway, turn right on Periwinkle Way. Turn right on Palm Ridge Rd and then continue on Sanibel-Captiva Road. Turn left onto Bowman’s Beach Rd.
